Terms & Conditions of Use
You
agree, through your use of this service, that you will not
use the JHF to post any material which is knowingly false
and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing,
obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive
of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.
You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the
copyright is owned by you.
Considering
the real-time nature of this bulletin board, the Johnny Herbert
Forum ('JHF'), it is impossible for us to review messages
or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember
that we do not always actively monitor the contents of posted
messages and are not responsible for any messages posted.
We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness
or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for
the contents of any message.
The messages express the views of the author of the message,
not necessarily the views of the JHF, Johnny Herbert, his
team, the Johnny Herbert Fan Club or anyone associated with
the aforementioned. Any user who feels that a posted message
is objectionable is encouraged to contact the administrator,
David Cunliffe, immediately by email.
We
have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will
make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame,
if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual
process, however, so please realise that we may not be able
to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
Although
we do not and cannot review all of the messages posted and
are not responsible for the content of any of the messages,
we at the JHF reserve the right to delete any message for
any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible
for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify
and hold harmless the JHF, the makers of the bulletin board
software, and their agents with respect to any claim based
upon transmission of your message(s).
We at the JHF also reserve the right to reveal your identity
(or whatever information we know about you) in the event of
a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted
by you. Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid
schemes, and solicitations are not acceptable on the JHF and
will be deleted.
Our

When
you submit information to us, you understand and agree that
we may store your information in a secure manner on our servers
based in the United Kingdom. Any such information held will
remain private and confidential and will not be released to
others without your prior permission. However, we at the JHF
also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever
information we know about you) in the event of a complaint
or legal action arising from any message posted by you.
When
you visit this website and the JHF, you can navigate the site
anonymously and access information without revealing your
identity. If you register for the JHF, this site will use
cookies to track information about your visit. A cookie is
small amount of data that is transferred to your web browser

it to you. It functions only to identify you to us and it
cannot be executed as code or used to deliver viruses.
Our
web servers also automatically log the IP/Internet address
of your computer. This information does not identify you personally
and you remain anonymous unless you have otherwise provided
us with personal information. However, this information may

This website is maintained by
David Cunliffe, who is always willing to
listen to any constructive criticism or suggestions. This site would not be where it is
today without the help and assistance of the Johnny Herbert Fan Club, which is run by
Johnny's parents, Bob & Jane Herbert, and it continues to function with Johnny's
blessing. A special thank you also goes to Johnny for sending us exclusive
comments by e-mail and video whenever he gets the chance. Thanks also go to
Johnny's teams who have allowed us to use material from their
websites.
From
the site's origin in January 1996 to the present day, Tim
Huckle of Cyber
Ltd has been very important to the continued existence
of this site. Tim has provided server space free of charge
and has been a constant source of ideas on how the site could
be improved. He has also given technical help whenever it
was needed and most innovations on the site would have been
impossible without Tim's assistance. Thanks, Tim!
A
big vote of thanks also goes to Steve Maskew who currently
allows us to use his free webspace. Without Steve kindly offering
to let us use his webspace, the site would probably have gone
off-line early in 2002.
A
big thank you also goes to Dave Blyth of autowebdesign
for his previous assistance with the graphics and 1998/99 frames layout of the
site. The montage by Dave which was used as the main logo for the site during those two years
is still to be seen on the Biography
page. It contains images used by kind permission of Paul-Henri
Cahier, AJ Samuels,
Sauber and John Plester.
Finally,
I'd
also like to thank my wife, Jean (a computer widow), my two kids, Michael and
Helen (who sometimes update the site when I'm on holiday), my mum for having me,
anyone else who knows me... sob, sob... ;-)
